The Once Humble Dancer

I liked you when we met
But now I can’t stand being around you

Why have you changed so much?
It’s not even for the better.

Once you were humble,
you were simple
though you still had a lot in you
that made you great

I miss the way we danced before
If anything, I would ask for more

You danced so graciously,
and that you still do
but now you turn
and back leading away from attraction

But I fear there is no turning back
Unless you take notice and step forward
